Had some good luck on our Trad Group Hunt (see separate thread for full story) up at Three Fingers Bowhunting in Fairfield, Tx.
Got a 238-lb hog this morning with my 70-lb Jay Weathers recurve, shooting 680-grain Warrior carbon arrow with a 300-grain Tuffhead single bevel broadhead. Shot was at 15 yards shooting at a downward angle, hard quartering away. Broadhead went through the "shield" and penetrated 12 inches into lungs and (likely) heart. Lots of blood to trail on the 150-yard track to find a dead hog in the creek bottom.

Haven't had the trad bow out in quite sometime, made a run tonight and arrowed 2 big hogs. Found the sow, but lost blood on the boar. He's a good un too! Maybe I'll find him tomorrow. Anyhow, congrats to all and God bless!
