    Knife Makers

I saw these and many more made by a maker named Trey Preslar out of Odessa.

I thought this was pretty ingenious, using old motherboards for handle inserts.

Maybe some of you more talented than me makers could see if you could make one.

    Anyway, I like it.

Different for sure. I honestly don't know if I'd like it or not....looks well made though.

They've been selling pen blanks like that for years.

There are thousands of everyday items, cast in resin, and used for pens and knife scales. Some of my favorite pens, (that I never got a chance to make) were disassembled watches (like Rolex) and all the internal parts, and the face, wrapped around a tube and cast in resin.

I have seen those scales for sale before. I also have seen people use them on small folders quite a bit. I think it looks pretty cool not sure how durable the scales would be a lot of that acrylic is brittle but then again so are some of the other materials.
