Deer season is coming up...so not that upset with meat loss (except my fish [emoji31]).

I just have no idea how to dispose in the city with no trash service working.

If you can't get it refrozen somehow or disposed of, I'd go ahead and burn it - if you can do that safely in your back yard. If any city official complained, I'd tell him he could either take whatever I hadn't burned yet and dispose of it for me, or he can pound sand. It's not a normal situation. You shouldn't have to live with rotting meat in your freezer and fridge for days on end.

Find some of the people that support throwing paint on people wearing fur and show them how it feels.

Or find a dumpster you can use.

I have burned food in the past, and did not have a problem just as long as you tend to it and keep under control.

Just got a text from my daughter that she heard the north bound feeder on 59 is open. I'm about to leave Humble, and will check it out and report. Y'all keep your fingers crossed!

For those who want to get in to southern Jefferson county and Orange county you can come up through Cameron, LA. That route is open and passable in cars I heard first hand this afternoon.

Saw two awesome things on the way home this evening... one was all the big cranes and trucks out on the 59 main lanes at the San Jac. bridge North bound moving all those HUUUUGE concrete dividers that used to separate the north and south bound lanes and the railroad bridge just east of the highway at the river, whole sections of the bridge were nothing but the steel rails!! The whole bridge spans were GONE!!

The other thing I saw was a convoy a good mile or more long of 18 wheelers escorted by DPS tahoe's headed north up 59... Some serious mass efforts going on to help each other!! Yes, this is TEXAS and TEXANS at their best... and all those from around the country, especially our Cajun brothers n sisters all out in force to lend a hand... yea, America is still America! Praise God.

I would bet if you triple bag it.. it would be okay. Is the freezer trashed? If not I would leave it open and unplugged for a couple days if possible.
Glad to hear that all is well.

Yes sir, we are hanging out in Fredericksburg ATM [emoji28]. As of now our house is high and dry. I hope the Brazos river is done but we shall see.

Looks like we will be in Orange County first thing in morning.
As long as 62 stays open north of 10.
