Screw that! The gov. don't pay enough for that much effort, besides that your great grandad showed us how to set traps in country like that using grass to cover the trap. Never tried it for coyotes but he said it would work, caught many coon, cat, and grey like that though.

Conibear 330's strike again with 2 more coyote kills on a high fence ranch. The place also has tons of turkey vultures which work fast on trapped animals

FYI it is illegal to use that 330 in that manner in Texas

Good info, I don't use them but didn't know the rules.

Supposed to only use greater than 10" DIAGONAL opening in 6" of water or more, no dry land for them

Just trying to save someone a few $$

Yep I looked it up after I saw your post. I do have a couple I bought for beaver control, after I set them in my shop to see how they worked I am scared to use them. I am not anti conibear , just never used them and like to turn unwanted catches loose. A coyote around here would never go thru one anyway. Beaver are new to my area and snares are working well for me at the moment.

So that would make it illegal wouldn't it because the diagonal of the trap would be about 12 or so right?
