Heck of a way to start a bow hunting career. Took me six years to kill a deer after I started hunting with a bow seriously. Low numbers of killable deer where I hunted at that time but persistence pays off. Well done sir!!

Did you sharpen your broadhead after the pig? Always best to shoot a deer with as sharp a broadhead as possible.

Congrats. You are very lucky getting 2 animals on your first day. I was told I was lucky because I got my first Archery deer within the first year, very last day of season. I would recommend downloading a GPS app like huntstand on your phone. You can mark locations and use that to get back.
