Not a clue. I can't match him to any others I had on camera in previous years.

Hard to tell with the distance but he looks at least 5 imo. Already has a big neck pre-rut, big shoulders, long body, definite sway in his back.

If he was a typical 4x4 8pt last year, I would wait another year on him. He would not be a shooter for me with that history.

I agree. However, sadly, most of the time, the guy on the other side of the fence doesn't. It all depends about your specific situation as to what bucks you should pass and let go. When I am deciding whether or not to shoot a deer, it's never "Should I shoot him?". Instead it is, "if whoever is hunting across the fence saw him, would they shoot him?"

Sadly now you have become the neighbor you were just talking about

I had that camera much closer, but the tree was a victim of Harvey. Still looking for a suitable replacement that isn't 10' from the feeder.

Move it to that t post forward and left of the camera

Whack him - 8

Walk him - 6

We'll have to see if he cooperates and shows up when I am in the stand so I can make a final determination.
