Central La Buck

Our rut in Central La is just now kicking off. I had been seeing some smaller bucks starting to bump and chase does in the last week or so. I finally caught this 8 point slipping across the shooting lane around 5:00 Saturday evening. A 210 yard shot with my 7mm-08 dropped him in his tracks. It has been a helluva hunting season for me!

My son and grandson killed some nice ones in Avoyelles parish this weekend. My grandson's 8 pt had a 19" inside spread and weighed 225#.

Where are you located in central La?
I was born and raised in Cheneyville. My son owns T-RAK's in Bunkie.

Need to go try it out. Hunted Catahoula lake many years back. Crazy times and people on that place back in the day.
