    Dig under it and get 2 beams under it. Use a motor jack or build a frame and use a chain hoist to get it up high enough to back a trailer under it. Reverse the steps to unload it. You could probably also dig under it and use long tow straps to lift it. Your main focus should be evenly distributing the weight so not to crack it. Number bricks with caulk first. (Just in case)

      Also brace it from the inside and use plywood on all 4 sides with 3 ratchet straps around it.

          I just hope you don't think the pit will make you be able to cook like grandpa!

          This is cool. I'm interested to see the results.
          I think Flash has the best idea, to move it in one piece.
