Things got a bit busy around the plant but was finally able to get back to work on the pits this week.

We hinged the plates from the fire box for an additional damper.

We got the tanks burned out and most of the paint burnt off.

While burning the tanks, we got the wood storage built on the front of the trailer. Then the following day we were able to place the pits back on the trailer and welded into place.

Installed the latches to hold the dampers in position. They can be wide open, half open, or closed.

Had a couple cords of mesquite delivered to help with seasoning the pits.

Started yesterday afternoon working on the counter weights for the doors. They will be @ 70# apiece. Started with 5" pipe filled with square stock and re-bar. Will finish them up and get them mounted Monday.

Those pits are going to be cooking machines man. Great work.
