Actually , yes there can be a problem with unrestricted corn consumption . If deer have access to unlimited corn after a summer of no corn it can be fatal. I forget the technical term but it does happen every year. Let a deer over eat corn put out for the first time in fall after no corn all year can be fatal. I know personally of instances where this has happened confirmed by my biologist.
