    Colton,
At the point now of deciding if the Leupold VX-5 or Swaro Z3 (both for around $700) are worth the extra cheese over the Leica ER 5 for around $500.

I’m finding them both for over $700, where are you seeing them for that price? Will also look at the Leica. Thank you, Mitch

The Leica is a better scope than Leupold or Swarovski. And that's coming from someone who owns them all.

Leica is better glass than Leupold also in the same ballpark as swaro

Almost snagged one on euro optics sale a few weeks ago but everyone I wanted was backordered.

Link for the 700$ swaro? Will have to adjust the price of mine in the classifieds or possibly just keep it if they are going that cheap.

So, unless I'm insane and have had too much swing fluid, the Leica is the better scope, particularly at the $500 price point?

And, anyone that wants a "where to find 'em" shoot me a PM.

Eurooptic and Scoplist has them for $499 shipped and no taxes. Backordered though so who really knows

Are the Leica glass from Germany? I have been told that any scope leupold sells that retails under 1000.00 the glass is made in China now.

They make good glass, but be Careful with the Leica warrantee...horrible reputation vs the Zeiss, Leupy & Swaro.

I found that out with a set of HD-B binoculars. Rangefinder quit working and my goodness it took six months of arguing and threatening.

                          $500 Leica?

                          Link?

I’ve also heard the same about Leica CS.

                            IMO, yes.

I have Swarovski, Leupold and Zeiss HD5.

If I could afford it all my hunting rifles would wear Swarovski.

They make great glass but I'll never spend my $$$$ with them from the instances I'm personally aware of & had friends get screwed...way too much of a pattern vs all the great stories you hear from Leupy, Swaro & Zeiss.

                                Not worth the risk.
