Shot this deer in Sutton county Sunday evening while sweating bullets. He came in and danced around for over 30 mins and I thought I was gonna run out of light. I had to open and close the windows a few times while trying to control my scent. I had him out at 38 yards and as close as 16 yards but never presented a shot. He finally came in at 20 yards and I let it fly. Hit him just a hair back of where I wanted to but considering I was shaking I will take it.It was a lung shot and he ran 75 yards and was done. Before this deer my biggest was 138 I shot in Ozona back in 1995 with a rifle so I have waited a long time for this. Very blessed to have incredible land owners and great deer. Gonna be tough to beat this deer but will keep hunting. Good luck everyone this year!!
