Thanks for all the compliments. It's great to see a plan come together. I picked this spot and picked the tree for my stand. I built the stand and set it and the feeder up. I've worked all summer to keep the feeders filled. I worked very hard at scent control while hunting this week. Normally I aim at the heart and think if they drop that I will still get lungs. This buck just would not relax, even after ten minutes so I aimed right at the bottom edge of his chest and then watched as he dropped into the arrow.
This buck is at the taxidermist now. I'll pick a pose tomorrow. He will look good on my wall. This buck makes me real proud as my first buck with a bow. The fact that I was shooting a recurve bow and cedar arrows built by a friend is icing on the cake.Comment
