    Well, this pic was taken the very next day in the same area I shot her. Apparently she ducked a little more than I saw in my mind, but she seems to be doing just fine. She’s been back in the area every day since. I would have thought with a slightly downward angle and slightly quartering away it would have still hit the top of the lungs. Amazingly tough animals.

          If you don't recover them it's always good to see them back at the feeder. Glad it worked out and no meat was wasted.

                    Used to hunt a day lease in Menard years ago and it was amazing the broadhead scars you would see on some of those deer! Tough critters for sure.

                      This happens way, way, WAY more than most realize. If you video your hunts and review the videos in slow motion, you will quickly find out just how little you can actually trust what you think you saw. It all happens in a fraction of a second.
