I have one pole that ALWAYS has a Texas rigged grape/black or red shad worm on it. I have another pole that almost always has a Ribbit frog on it. Those are the two I fish with the most and catch the most fish with, so I would have to say those are my favorite lures.

I seem to build rod and reel combinations like I build rifles..... each pole has a specific rod and a specific reel to fish a specific lure or retrieve.

That is what my biggest bass was caught on also!

But favorite of all time would be a baby brush hog in a watermelon color.

This is a great way to figure out what all the fish are seeing and then try something different!

I'm a newly converted square bill fisherman. I've caught a lot of fish on them the last few years while whoever was with me caught less fish on plastics. That being said, I love the feel of a tap on a Texas rigged worm

Best bass I've ever caught lake fishing was on that chug bug pattern on Amistad at dusk after the lake had come up. He just destroyed that lure
