Check out Hoover’s, right off 35 east of the campus.
Food is phenomenal.
Hoovers is good, haymaker is right down the street, also pretty good. Hornitos is right off of 35 in the same area and is kind of a hole in the wall Mexican food place that I like alot
You provided so much help with that post. Not only are you wrong about '"tourist" places but you didn't even offer a suggestion. What is a tourist restaurant?
op didnt answer the questions people asked to narrow dowwn the choices mr smarty pants austin is a big place with diverse food
Bruiser- Evangeline's Cafe a tourist place- Can you tell me anything about it? Magnolia Cafe on Lake Austin is where I read the paper. I see the same tourist in there almost daily.
Keep them coming. Internet mentions:
Odd Duck
Swift's Attic
Russian House
I would add the following, although I don't think some of these are open for lunch
Jezebelle, French
Sway, Thai
Clarks, Perlas, seafood. (You will hemorrhage cash at Clark's during dinner)
Red Ash
