I also have heard and read that you do not want to us pressure treated wood. There are lots of toxins in it. Which is why the big box stores don’t even cut pressure treated wood there
Not sure I would have gone with pressure treated posts on a smokehouse as a personal choice.

Ok, you got me to thinking and researching.
It is not recommended to burn pressure treated lumber or use for making cutting boards due to the chemicals used in manufacturing.
I do have treated 4x4's in the corners of the smoke house however they are inside the walls, covered and well insulated.
Thanks for the concern, I never gave it any consideration.
Luckily, by design, it won't be a problem!
