Can the hogs see the red? I always thought they couldn't see red light.

Mount it higher and it will light up a bigger area

Can't answer that question., a red light over hogs would be new territory for me.

The clear-lay film just includes red sheets in the package, and I realize some people use red for spotlighting

Yes and no, The higher I mount it the less it reflects on the opposite side of the feeder.

However at $10 per light, two lights on one feeder is not very expensive, and then a higher mount would work better

Thanks for the info, rigged mine up this weekend. I put 3 of them on my feeder. There are 4 in the picture but I forgot to turn one of them on, and it takes a tiny little pin to turn them on!

People are afraid that someone will impale themselves.

                            I'm not worried
