The dog in the photo is a Plott, known more for bear and hog hunting but a few are make lion dogs as well.
My trip to the Mescalero was a wreck as the wind blew over 30 mph everyday so I tried to hunt for three days and came home as the forecast was for more of the same. The day after I left, my buddy called me and said that it blew trees down in his yard.
