That’s where I went. After looking at pictures it seems that we went towards the end of February but I might be looking to head down there before then.

They are hammering them right now. My son just pulled a double limit.

It's been very early past few years.
        Males are already moving

We start mid-end of Jan in rivers in East Texas. Usually fish until end of spring break. Early Feb can be dynamite

The white bass run/spawn run will occur up the rivers and creeks when the water temp starts reaching 55. If there is flowing water they will concergate there. Until then they will stage at the mouth of rivers and creeks. They search for that temp. Flowing water is warmer than calm water

April in my neck of the woods....

It’s been a few years since I’ve tried it, but it is a fun time. My wife’s grandparents have a farm on a feeder creek off of Norfork and it can be good action. You can see them stacked up in the holes (clear water). There was ice on the lake last week, but people were still catching some walleye.

I'm gonna try white bass fishing out this year for the first time.

What do you guys have the most luck on as far as lures go to catch them?

I'm going to have to give it a go soon. I usually fish the neches north of palestine. Anyone else fish there?
