Laid my dad to rest yesterday.

It was a beautiful day to lay dad to rest. A little breezy, but a nice day. My cousin performed the ceremony (long winded son of a gun!). Had several of his old co-workers there which was nice. The only time I had any real trouble was when the Navy honor guard presented me with the flag. I literally came close to passing out. I was not prepared for that. Honoring my three sisters requests, no pictures were taken. It was a nice day. I would like to thank all of you for the prayers and well wishes during this time. They meant so much to us.

Wednesday we said farewell to my uncle.

Again, sorry for your loss. I am glad it was a nice service. I still have the American flag they laid over my Dad's casket in 1963.
