Is he old enough and wide enough?

I really only have two potential target bucks this year in East Tx. This one is #2 on the list and is an 8pt I believe to be 4.5 or 5.5. He looked to be about 12.5" last year and 4.5 but he still has a 4.5 yr old looking body to me this year? I think he'll make the 13" this season but what are yall's thoughts on age and width?

This one is a 9pt that evaded me last yr in two different encounters. He should be 5.5 this year and I'm hoping he'll make low to mid 130's. I'm not sure but it looks like he may have a 10th pt toward the end of his left beam? Hard to tell..

First deer is legal I'd say 14-14.5 inches wide. both are nice deer. I wouldn't hesitate on either of em

Go for the 9 this year and the 8 next year. I'd say the 8 makes ar by an inch or two though.

Good luck on getting either one, both would be trophies with a bow.

the first buck is legal and looks to be 4.5 in 2 photos and 5.5 in another. I find it difficult to distinguish between those 2 ages on some deer. If you thought he was 4.5 last year, and this year you can't really tell then I think I'd trust last years age and call him 5.5.

Both are nice bucks, but the 9 is a lot better. I think with those brow tines he'll break 130 but it'll be close. I'd target the 9 and maybe settle for the 8 if December rolls around, and I don't think I've got a good chance of killing the 9. Good luck!

                        Middle-aged (4.5-5.5) and wide enough.
