I’m here - no sign of anything yet.

Also no other cameras but me. Maybe they know something I don’t. lol

I’ll keep an eye out for a little longer and see if anything pops up.

Yeh, they (photogs) may not come until later. Look toward the church school across from the Loft. Also, they have been hanging out around the drainage behind the loft where the volleyball courts are.

They would have been present all the time then, the young ones anyway.

Those photos are outstanding. I was driving through Hughes Landing last week and saw three people set up taking pictures. I looked back that direction but didn't see anything, maybe this was it.

They'll wait most of the day also.

Joe, yes it is. That is the protected nest that has been there many years. They touch up/repair every year when it's time to lay the eggs.

That is what they were doing I'd guarantee it.

I would love to have a framed copy of number 2. Do you do that?

I believe the window is rapidly closing according to what I'm reading in a group on FB. The youngsters were spotted flying over Lake Woodlands Parkway today, likely headed to the lake. They will likely not be staying in the nest area much longer.

Thanks very much for the comments.
Good pics. I have no idea on the zoology of these animals but there has been a nesting pair on the lake for almost 2 decades now. I assume these adults were born on the lake and those chicks could be great grandchildren. If you have to live in town it doesn’t get much better than The Woodlands, we are blessed by nature.
