Left my quiver at the house one morning but hustled back and grabbed them and was back in stand in about 20min

Benefit of hunting behind the house

But you can bet when I am going on a trip I check the "must haves" several times before leaving

Drove 2hrs to realize I left arrows at home

Went last weekend and forgot every… single… broadhead. Not to mention I forgot to buy a new license after it expired… not my finest moments and caused me to miss a morning hunt where a shooter buck came in as well as a huge boar.

Ended up eating a tag sammich that weekend.

Couple hundred dollars later and a missed hunt taught a valuable lesson.

        Check yo s***!!!

Yep. We keep a spare everything at the ranch, including a rest and sight.

My son and I drove to southern Colorado for a elk and bear hunt. We got to the place we were to meet a group from KC Mo. When we went in the store to buy licenses the guy tells us a gal called to leave a message for one of the guys from KC that he left his arrow box!! I made a sign and held it up when they drove into the parking lot. It said "ARROWS $100 Each". They all wondered what it was all about until they went inside to buy their licenses. I had already found a archery shop for him to buy a dozen arrows.

Yea it happens, When I was 17 I got up headed out to the prime public land in PA, got to the parking spot first so I know I'm getting my best spot, look at my arrows no broad heads, go home get them and head back, 4 trucks sitting there 1/2 after sunrise, walk into the woods all ****** off at myself and stand by a big oak and 30 min later a 8 point walks by and I hose him. Funny that was 39 years ago but I can't remember last week.

I forgot my release opening morning in 93. Told my buddies I would probably see the biggest buck and not be able to hit it. As luck would have it, I killed a basket 10 at 18 yards using my fingers.
When I got home I tried using fingers at my target at 20 yards. I totally missed the target.

Ha Ha,been there. Got halfway to the lease one Friday night and realized I forgot my release after sitting in traffic for 45 minutes. Back home to pick it up and on to the lease. No traffic now. Bought a spare when I got back. But I still seem to always FORGET SOMETHING!!

I hope your wife didn't find them first, and he said he was going hunting. Hunting what.

I don't take that much stuff on a 10 day hunt out west

Got a muzzleloader to take advantage of the late muzzleloader season. I treated it like I do my bowhunting gear since there are so many accessories that go with a muzzleloader and got a tackle box so I wouldn't forget anything. Got to the lease, got dressed, pulled out the gun; powder-check, primers-check, bullets-back at the house.

I don't take all of it. Just what I need for the occasion and time of year. But yes I agree that is a LOT of stuff

I don't feel so bad now listening to these stories. I was in Amistad two weeks ago and about 200 yards from my truck I realized I didn't have my release. Spent almost an hr backtracking and going through my pockets and truck. No luck. I had to run to Wally World and pick up a new one. Neatless to say I missed the evening hunt.
