This is the first season that I've seen as many coyotes staying in a feeder for long periods of time. I had 3-4 that would spend 45 minutes to an hour in my newly built feed pen every morning and evening. Some would even lay down.

Well I unzipped one and haven't seen any since. That might change when I go to the lease this weekend.

Good luck with your problem. Traps might be the way to go with that bunch.

You need to be shooting early and often.

How can we locate the den? Destroy all of them at once!

Coyotes have already left the den.

So they only den up while having pups? I don't know much about coyote habits. Never had to concern myself with them till now.

I got them too. Don't feed rice bran, they love that stuff. I ended up scooping it all up to get rid of it.

Yeah they only den up until the pups are weaned off of their mother. Another thing to keep in mind is a lot of times by killing coyotes you're actually just helping the population. When the coyote population is low in an area female coyotes will have more pups.

                      That’s a bummer
I thought about starting with the rice bran

a quiet pellet 177 or 22 in the rib cage ..they will never know what hit them and run off and die..There are some 22 shells thet are guiet also CCI CB is really quite in long gun...and then the suppressed stuff is ok if you got bucks and time...

I'd suggest using a centerfire rifle or a shotgun. Unless your coyotes down there are different than ours. Pellet guns and .22's are weak sauce. You'll wound them and make them smarter and harder to kill by doing that.
