We had a change of plans and are actually going to give the Bitterroot a try tomorrow. Runoff is dropping rapidly and the thought is there will be a good shot at some good fish on streamers. Then after that we are heading over to Craig for the rest of the week.

Nasty day, but we caught some pretty solid browns. The bottom one was a pig. Conditions didn't make it easy for better pics, so the cheesy grip and grins will have to do.

We actually ended up nymphing all day. We gambled on the bitterroot and it actually gave up good fish, but it was weird. The Bitterroot shouldn't have fished at all today, but the cold weather had dropped the flows. It was still way up. We are in Cascade now and weighing our options for the next few days.

Anyone here interested in going to Venice, LA for tuna on the fly? Likely a early fall trip to hit the shrimp boats. Looking for 1-2 more to fill the boat. It would be me and my buddy Scott. Its an expensive game for 2 anglers but with 3-4 guys on the boat to split cost (we are budgeting $2500 a day for the boat) so 600-800 per person makes it a little more reasonable. Any interest? LMK
