    I wonder if the manure was too green and not deteriorated enough? I have always been told that it needs to age before putting it down; otherwise, it could burn your vegetation.

                      try everything suggested, you will have 2' of stuff covering your yard and wont be able to see the yellow grass

                          Could be this.. My St Augustine was perfect last year, this year it got "take all patch or take all root rot" started by turning yellow then it started dying. I have spread approx. (35) 3CF bales of peat moss to date which has only top dressed about 1/2 my yard. It has stopped the spread of the fungus disease but my yard hasn't healed yet. In my research I have read where fungicides don't help much when it comes to "take all patch".
