The 2008 archery season has been awesome. We have had 7 months of fun, but the season is coming to a close. Our final shoot of the year is on the 23rd and 24th of this month. For all of you who have been participating, this is your final chance to add to your aggregate scores. We will have food and cold drinks available at the concession stand. The awards ceremony will be held after Sunday's shoot. Plaques will be awarded to winners in divisions which have 3 or more shooters as of the July shoot. Winners in divisions with less than 3 shooters will be awarded pins.

We will also be giving away hog hunts to two shooters who register to shoot this month. The hog hunts will be in Cotulla at Sherwood Forest. You must be in the drawing to win the hog hunt. Please be sure to ask for a ticket at registration if you aren't given one.

Just wanted ease your minds over the range conditions. The crew just finished setting out the targets and have reported that the range is pretty dry. I am told that you WILL want to bring your mosquito repellent. I recommend DEET. OFF makes a Repel with 100% DEET. I have purchased it at Academy.

Some folks don't like to use that high a percentage, but I am one of those people who will attract the only mosquito within a 10 mile radius.

Anyway, the range is in good shape in regards to water, so come on out and join us. Bring your boots if you are on the cautious side, but especially the bug spray.
