A couple of knives in this Texas Heat!

As hot as it was I still managed to get two put together today.
The first one is an all around hunting / camp knife. High carbon steel blued and tempered to 60 HRC it's 8 3/4 OAL cutting edge is 4 1/4 with buffalo horn scales with white liners, 1/4" mosaic pin, file work on the spine.. getting tired of the vine work everyone does so I did something different.

The next one is also high carbon steel blued on caribou antler and the black is buffalo horn. The OAL is 9 inches tip to guard is 4 inches.

    Tomorrow is sheath day.

Do you etch your blades with FC or use some kind of bluing

Mike I actually do both; I etch them first for better penetration of the bluing I use and also to see where my hamon is,, I edge quench all my knives to give me 60 HRC on my cutting edge when I temper. If you look real close on the second picture you can see the hamon, on the antler knife, it's just the way the light shines on it to appear the temper line.

Love that first one particularly the filing on the spine! Nice work.

That one is payment pending, both are sold. I had it on the classifieds for long time before someone contacted me about it. I was surprised it lasted that long before selling, feels awesome in the handle, and very functional. I had a great price on it too.

I try to keep a few knives on TBH for sale, most of them are on my website. I do a lot of custom orders.
