Bow Blind / Waterer / KAP

I've gotten a lot of great ideas from threads here over the years, so that I would contribute with a recent project of mine. And I promised TildenHunter a pic from first kill with the DXT he sold me. Loving that bow!

Blind is 4x6 with slope toward the front. Slope was designed to create constant shade over the shooting window. The roof is extended a few extra feet to create additional shade and more surface area for catching rain water. Additional wings out front on the sides for more shade and to support the three foot roof extension.

Gutter is made from 6" c-purlin and feeds to a 305 gallon poly tank. Gravity fed via buried PVC to a small float/bowl near the feeder. Theoretically, it will catch about 30 gallons for every one inch of rain. I've filled the tank once and don't expect I'll need to again unless the hogs tear the water bowl off again. The bowl is my weak point in the system. I've PM'ed Coachwhip hoping he might give us a DIY thread on his concrete troughs.

First hunt was last weekend. Deer at 10-15 yards and stuck an arrow through a pig with no hint that they ever suspected anything. The huge amount of shade from the front overhang allowed me to have a really large shooting window and still get away with a lot of movement.

Looks like the idea is serving you well. Only if that water cooled the stand somehow in this heat

I copied your design. Didn't get the lower side of the roof as low as yours but I like it.
