    How would you invest $40k?

I'm thinking about investing some inherited money. What would you do? Land? Stocks? Guns?

You could give it to me

But if all other finances are good. I’d do land, they aren’t making anymore of it

$40k would probably just blow it.

I hear buying people you don't know boats is comparable to buying apple stock in the 80's. Let me know if youre in the market. Lol.

JK, I think land/real estate would be my go to. I have been wondering the same Lord forbid when the time comes for me to get mine.

They aren’t making anymore pontiacs but that doesn’t mean it is a good investment. I would payoff any debts contribute the maximum to any tax deferred account then put the rest in a brokerage account.

Questions I used to always ask.

                        1. Do you have kids?
                        2. The person that it is coming from, how would they want their memory honored?

Putting some for college, Roth funding, land all are good options. I always look at these 2 questions.

Land. Your kids will thank you as they stand over your grave. Most are pretty thankless until your gone.

Get you a financial planner and see what they say. I have an account with Edwards Jones put 12,000 in a IRA almost 3 years ago. Last statement I got showed I have 21,000 now. Have not added to it myself although I should.

Roth IRA, land, paying off debts or rental property are all I would do
