Anybody have experience with parents and/or grandparents? I would like to get Dad & Mom on one of these trips to D.C. to visit the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam War Memorial (the wall).

Never participated but rode on a plane with them.
I'll just keep it short and tell you the team I saw based out of Fort Worth was A+++.
Each veteran had someone accompany them (for the spry ones, they let a couple of veterans have one person accompany them.) American Airlines provided this group with a Doctor and a couple of nurses. American Airlines also had a "gate agent" type person that accompanied the veterans - she, helped them get expedited through TSA, made sure they got to board first, etc. Even during the tour they have it all set-up where they get to drive up close to the capital building, have special parking near the memorials etc.
I'd put a inquiry in and one of the organizers can give you the details - if your mother/father is a veteran and is healthy then it's an absolute no-brainer.

Thx guys...…...I have put in an email to the New Orleans group. Sounds like a great opportunity for Dad, his vision is down to about 8% now...….time is of essence. Mom is in GREAT health and would do good escorting him. Looks like WWII vets get first dibs. Then Korea & Vietnam...….which dad served in both!
