Looks like some big bodied deer. Not sure the 223 n 22-250 will be enough.....unless i swap ammo. Thinking about the Barnes TSX in both.

Late season is good too. Peak rut will be over, but to be honest, we have so many deer and buck/doe ratios can be seriously skewed, a lot of years rut comes and goes without ever seeing a lot of rut activity. We kill our biggest bucks around the 15th of January. They usually aren’t chasing or trailing then, just cruising looking for does coming in on the second cycle.

Going Jan 18-20th. Should be fun!! Taking wife n kids for a mini vacation....

I hunt probably 5 miles from Doloroso. I have a few good friends that hunt in Doloroso. You couldn’t be going at a better time. Last year there were 3 big bucks killed on our place on Jan 16th. I wish our season went through Feb 15th because it’s just getting good. You see plenty deer and have a great hunt, I’m sure of it.
