Need to quite down my longbow (PGU bow)

    Hey guys!

Recently picked up a PGU survival folding bow (and for those of you that think it's gimmicky or crappy...shoot it first. This thing is awesome and shoots straight!)

The only thing is, it's a bit loud. I'm new to traditional shooting, so what out there is a TRULY effective way to quite down a trad bow? String silencers? If so, what brand? I always thought they wouldn't do much, but if you have experience with them, please let me know!

    Thank you!

    *Title should say "quiet" down...typo

First thing I would do is experiement with brace height. You may be surprised how much difference a 1/4-1/2” change can make when it comes to noise. Once you find the sweet spot that quiets it down then install some silencers. That is personal preference - some like yarn puffs or beaver balls, I use 4 small (1 1/4”) clumps of cat whiskers. You can move them up and down the string to find where they work best
