99 Year Old WW2 Combat Veteran!

    Not many of those heroes still around.

    Last year I went to a funeral in Glen Rose for a WWII veteran who spent 21 months as a POW in Stalag 17.

                      I absolutely love visiting with folks from that generation. They always have so much wisdom and so many amazing stories about how we got to where we are today. I especially love the old combat vets. Having been in the Corps and done a tour in Iraq (not at all like WWII) I love the military history and the light that these folks can shed upon it.

                      My lease is about 8 miles from the Koffee Kup Family Restaurant (yes, that's the name nowadays). I eat in there on a regular basis. I will be looking for this national treasure in there so can buy his meal myself.

                                Those old men, some of who deployed for the duration of the entire war KNEW what sacrifice was. God bless them.
