Chemicals are volatile and they have no way to cool them. Approx 5 days til it pops!

            Unbelievable

1.5 miles may be sufficient for the blast zone but I would be more concerned of the wind currents carrying the chemical down wind. I didn't see what type of chemical but I can assure you it's more than just black smoke.

Organic Peroxide is the chemical. This is very close to Jackson's deer processing and some people I know.

No power to run the refrigeration units. I believe anhydrous ammonia may be present. If the system is designed for cooled liquid and the refrigerators are out of service the ammonia will vaporize and build pressure until the equipment fails. Massive vapor cloud explosion followed by a deadly ammonia cloud.

No electricity, backup generators are flooded out. Diesel backup coolers are failing.

Not sure of the status at the plant, but if there are evacuations ......
Get the hail out! Anhydrous ammonia is deadly!

Hope they get it under contol.

Seems from this tweet that it's not an explosion concern but a fire hazard which would pollute the surrounding areas with ammonia...
the way people have been telling me, it's like a bomb is about to go off vaporizing a 1.5 mile radius!

Pretty crazy how things get lost in translation. Either way, I wouldn't want to be around that plant.
