Louisiana stud!

This deer was killed this weekend crossing a field next to our woods with a herd of does. Still not sure where he came from as he was in acres and acres of fields. As far as we know no one in the area has pics of him. Pushing 185” of Catahoula bone!

I hunted Rapides, St Landry, and Avoyelles growing up. Nothing like that around in those days. That area did have some big deer that kept their bellies full on soybeans and acorns.

Different ends of the parish but same terrain. Every time I go to my Dads camp and put in at Youngbloods and see that WRP I think about the big deer that has to be laying out there.
