It has rained twice since then, and the forecast next week looks great.

I think the buck on the left is "cuatro", the double split brow buck I posted earlier. I am not positive but the small 8 is the buck he always runs with. Good to see him on camera after about 2 months of no pictures.

Otherwise, nothing I am too thrilled about.

I was in the middle of my trail cam survey when one camera decided to quit working, so I only got data from 1 camera. This means the survey, in theory, should approximate my deer herds per about 100 acres. The camera that did work ran over 10 days in the south central side of the property. Here are my results with the attached computation form from QDMA that I used. Remember, these are all just an estimation.

Concern: My fawn numbers are horrible this year

Sippy good to see the rain for sure we got about 3 in. at our place new Grosvenor. The survey was interesting for sure, I'm familiar with area that you hunt sort of . About eight years ago I help work on a house in that area . The place was on the Pecan Bayou on the way to work in the mornings I would see a few deer along the way but once I got close to the Bayou the number went up.

Looking good, I think we got quite a bit of rain in SA too.

What's your feeder/trailcam activity like? Have they been showing up in daylight hours or mostly nighttime? More active mornings or evenings? Hitting the feed?

Just curious, thinking about heading down this weekend if it's not too hot.

They have been slower than normal at the feeders, but most of the activity is still in the daytime. I dont know what the rain last week has done vegetation wise however.

There were some acorns starting to fall.

Bucks are still shy, but they should make an appearance around the beginning of rifle season.

Doe are plentiful, and Tiffany and I are looking to start on our doe harvest this weekend. Good luck to everyone!
