Played golf with a former Aggie football coach today...

Name sounds like Coach Fran. Seemed like a nice enough guy. Shared a few funny stories and his self deprecating humor made the round fun. He cracked on me on the first green for my longhorn logo ProV1. We went back and forth all day.

May or may not have slipped this in to his bag walking off 18. Would pay to be there when he finds it.

Escondido is a pretty decent track. Pretty wide open and it’s only real defense are the greens. Shot 78 after not touching a club in 6 months...with 4 three putts. The facilities and staff are top notch.

Nice job on the slip-in. I'm not a 'horn' but can't stand the Ags. (even though my FIL played basketball there) I played football against and J Sherrill and co twice back in the day.

I bet he hit it left, Hit it right, Called a time out and then hit it straight down the middle.

I’m sure he played it safe all day long!

Why? Because he's talking about an ag?

Probably because there's no way an Aggie and a Longhorn finished 18 holes together!!

He coached at Texas State for several years after leaving the ags. Nice enough guy but never really was able to build any momentum in San Marcos. Heard he has since retired to Horseshoe Bay. Nice move on the golf ball

I could also but I’ll refrain. Not a fan. Has nothing to do with his on field coaching.
