Mustang Creek on 59 between El Campo and Louise is great so is McMillan's in Fannin. I like the sausage that the Mikeska boys make in El Campo but not their bbq.

Franklin's in Austin is a step above every bbq place I've ever eaten but I won't stand in line outside to eat it again.

That being said, when you get over north and east of Austin around Taylor, Giddings, rockdale, thorndale, brenham area they are ALL pretty dang good!
