I'm a guy that loves huge ranches and vast, less commercialized, giant deer county so my choices would be Irion, Reagan, Gaines, Gray, Donley or Wheeler..
They are just a dang long drive for me..
Y'all can have South Texas... I'm out..
Old Mexico is by far my favorite place.... Some great, unforgettable, big buck were memories made across the river..

Been hunting Houston County for many years and have never seen a monster buck during daylight. Have less than a handful on game cam and all at night.
Of course, I am only doing corn all year long and not doing a food plot.
But again, not spending a lot of my salary on it, because I have a family and will always be married.
If hunting in East Texas starts to cost as much as what I have seen on the green screen, I will have to give up my most valued hobby. That day will really suck.
