Painting laminate countertops

We were tired of the plain gross laminate tops we have in our house, but I **** sure wasn't gonna spend thousands for granite so I decided to try paint. I used a kit made by Giani off Amazon, cost us $160 to do a little over 100 sf.

I'll snag a closeup tmw, came out about as good as you could expect for some paint cans and a sponge!

Turned out really nice. I think the black looked great also could you just cleared over that?

We did ours last year too. Went from old yellow laminate to "Carrera marble." Had one of my daughter's friends paint the look, then I coated with clear high gloss epoxy. Will try and post pics.
