First Bow Kill

Been wanting to take a deer with a bow for a long long time now and finally got the opportunity this past weekend south of Bracketville. 25 yards with a 100 grain slick trick magnum and a clean pass through. She went about 20 yards and crashed. My entry was certainly further back than I wanted but exit was right behind the shoulder. Great learning experience and I have multiple things I want to practice on before next season so I'm better prepared. Regardless though, I think I was more excited about this doe than I was my first axis I got with a rifle earlier this season.

Big thanks to Texantax for letting me hunt his stand and to my buddy who manages the ranch for inviting me on the hunt! Thanks to both of you, it wouldn't have been possible without y'all.

Nice job sir. I get the shakes everytime the first deer comes in. Even if its a fawn. Thankfully it goes away a little bit by the time I get a shot. Then after it starts right back up. I got so pumped up after my first wall hanger with my bow this year I almost threw up. Completely calm while watching him walk in though because I had been watching other deer for about 45min prior to seeing him. My avatar is my bow buck this year.
