    Wildlife Water System

I have done about everything I can think of to Deer Camp. We have 14 tree stands (2 per feeder for wind location), 7-elevated fiberglass blinds, 7-650# stand & fill feeders, hog lights, the best camp I could have ever imagined...

The only project I could think to do this off-season was to add a watering system. I almost have it complete:

I ordered one of these 110 gallon "Drinkers". It arrives mid-next-week!

This is going to be cool to put a camera and see what comes in! I put a 40' dia. pen around it to keep the cattle out of it. It will probably keep the hogs out too...but the deer, turkey and other game birds (dove & quail) will be able to access it. I will post more pictures once complete.

    51-days and counting!

Neat idea, be interesting to see how much water the roof sheds into the holding tank. Neat deal for sure!

1" of rain on 1000 sq ft will produce 600 gallons. Nice build, hope you get some rain!

With a 1" rain, you should be able to catch @ .625 gallons of water per square foot. I like your set up. Good luck.

Here is the finished picture. Turned out pretty good. The rain help fill it up pretty quick!

            The dove love it!

Would it have been a little better to have it lifted out of the ground a little so when it gets low they can still access the water?

That's awesome. What did you spend on it all together?

Waiting for pics. I always set up water systems at my leases, they work out great.

Where did you get the trough? Is it poly or concrete? Can't tell from the photo. Adding a water source is one of the most beneficial things you can do.
