I am new to the lubbock area and have just started getting into bow hunting before moving here. I am curious how often does your group meet up, where are you located and what are the usual times.

Our meetings are the first Wednesday of the month, 5:30 pm at the Archery Shack on Santa Fe Drive.
Our 3D shoots are on the 3rd Saturday of each month through September, registration begins around 9:00 am.
The archery lease is located just north and west of the entrance to Buffalo Springs Lake on HWY 835
Our website is southplainsarchery.com if you would like additional information.

You will not meet a better bunch of people. Go out and shoot with them, they will make you feel like you've been a member for years. They have a great range to shoot and put on really enjoyable shoots. You will like it.

Sounds great, like I said I'm real new, I've only been shooting bow for around 4-5 months. Do y'all have classes, my 11 yo daughter is really I to archery as well and I think she would enjoy it once I get a her new bow in.

Do you have any suggestion on a good bow for a first real bow. It's for my 11 year old daughter. I'm looking for something that will last, it I can't afford a big price tag

I would check with Bruce Beal at the Archery Shack. Last time I looked he had a good selection of new and used bows. I'm sure he can recommend something that will work for you.
