We found a few sets this week [emoji16]

Still looking, I’ll get a pic of the year total tonight.

I have found a few through the years, but nothing really big. I used to find them in or around water troughs. The ranch I took care of had some prairie pastures that were pretty low in minerals . The cows would pick up the sheds and chew on them . Apparently they would chew on them until they dropped them at the trough. Had one get lodged in a cows mouth once, with one of the tines puncturing out of her nostril.

Good incentive to make sure and keep minerals out.

Here’s a few I’ve found at my spots so far. Got lucky and found 3 matching sets.

What type of areas are you guys focusing your search to find so many? Do you really comb through the brush?

Find out where the deer feed and bed down and look in those areas and the trails between them. Wheat fields and feeders are good places to start. I also find quite a few near water and in mesquite flats and pastures with lots of new growth. Just look anywhere deer are concentrated around a food source. If everything is green and deer are more spread out, it is much more difficult. If the grass is short enough I like to use binoculars to cover more ground.

I found these last Monday at our place in Zavala Co. Most were found in an open pasture and the rest near the protein stations.

Only saw one WT that had dropped. Should be able to find quite a few right now.
Goodness! You have an Axis problem

Added two more for the spring today.
Limestone county on the left (neighborhood deer) and our east tx place on the right. I know the 10 point deer well

                        Another view of limestone
