I like to shoot them with 22 shorts.. the bullet stays in their head and doesn't bloody any meat.. the trap we use is 20 ft round so they all back up and face you .. it's hard to get a side of the head shot on the pig..

22 MAG because its all that's needed. Pistol up close, scoped rifle from a distance.

.22 revolver works well for me. I shoot them in the temple between the eye and ear. Killed hundreds of them that way.

Revolver for the cage-type traps, Remington Nylon 66 autoloader for the larger pen traps, with a 12-ga backup for any runners that squeeze out.
