My dad would understand if I had a hunt already booked. For one next can his son drive if so I would buy my kid a map and tell pops I'm sorry this has been planned and leave with you.

My buddy and I go on a hunting trip every year, it's feels kind of strange leaving early on the trip with out him, but things always change.

Don't have to be home until Sunday evening and if I'm lucky I could just hang out with him until he leaves. I just got an invite from another friend to go to Mexico with him on January 10-14. I would cut one trip short to make another one. I doubt I will make the trip to Mexico but it's very tempting, my wife gave me the green light to do both.
