Savage is the originator of this trigger. It's the standard on all the Savages for last several years.

You cannot retrofit an accu-trigger onto a "pre" model without extensive knowledge and experience work.

For $90 and ten minutes worth of work you can add a rifle basix sav-1 trigger to any savage or axis.

It's a nice trigger once you get it adjusted to your liking

.338 lapua! If the hog came out at 10 yards I would wait till he got a little further out though. Lol

If you're shooting hogs at 700 yards, why are you concerned with the weight of the rifle?

6.5 CM really shines at long range with the high BC bullets.

Saving up for a 6.5 Creedmore AR for this purpose.

For a 700 yard gun you need at least 1/2 MOA and a DANG good scope and range finder for the options listed. I would look at a 7 mm mag as the minimum and 300 WSM or 300 WM as you best options, or cut back to 500 yards and all the above are still good choices.

Should be 500 dollars or less, high BC factory ammo is available at a reasonable price and should have the energy needed out to 800 yards. Most reviews I have been reading people have been getting less than 1 moa groups. Several videos on you tube taking 6.5 creedmoor out for long range shooting.

Long range shooting and long range killing are two totally different things. 700 yards is right on the edge of where reliable killing is for certain.
