"OFFICIAL" Granger Hog Hunting Thread

After logging many hours out at granger I don't think the heli hunts will hurt the population of hogs to much. Most stay in some of the thickest and meanest cover they can find.

You would think a notice would have to be put out though if on public land ...I'm not buying it not on the wma anyway maybe someone's private land.

They do it a couple times a year, never any notice that I know of in years past. And yes, one is usually this time of year. A few years ago they did it the weekend before the GRXH, and we still killed pigs. So don't worry, the heli hunt isn't going to mess up anything.

I also know, that a few years they have waited until after GRXH to do the heli hunt; which is pretty cool.

Either way, I wouldn't worry about it none.

So are you allowed to hunt during the heli hunt...seems like a good time to post up while they're being pushed around. ...just seems a little dangerous to not let hunters know there may be bullets raining from the sky

They can be harvested....u just have to be close and hear the shots....I took my boat a few years back and picked up 5 free pigs.. Lake not closed!!
